Moods of metro

After overcoming obstacles, Indian women have come a long way. Not only have they carved a niche for themselves in traditional careers like teaching, medical, engineering and civil services, they have made a grand entry into male bastions. They comfortably fill petrol in vehicles at the bunkers along with their male colleagues. In fact, women employees are found to be more sincere, dedicated and hard-working.

Women bus conductors are a regular sight on BMTC buses bravely issuing tickets and guiding passengers, sometimes even controlling the unruly ones.

Grinding sugarcane requires a lot of energy and is a job mostly associated with men. But now, no more. This gutsy woman knows how to grind and sell juice with a smile on her face.
Handling so many customers in a crowded jewellery shop and handing out the design of their choice is a no mean feat but this saleswoman does it with elan.

As public servants, women continue to serve excellently. Be it controlling traffic on the road or delivering letters to the correct address, they have never shirked from duty.
Three cheers to women power.
