JOIN USThe victim, Laxmi, had came out of the marriage hall on Sunkadakatte main road with her father. She was run over by a SUV which was entering the hall premises at the gate, causing her severe head injuries. She was rushed to the nearest hospital but died by the evening.
Man waylaid
A recovery agent was waylaid and robbed at knife point by a four-member gang near Jogupalya in Ulsoor on Monday night. The complainant, Thayagaraj (24), a resident of SP Road was returning home on his two-wheeler after visiting a client in Indiranagar.
He took a deviation near Jogupalya. A four-member gang got out of an autorickshaw and forcibly stopped his bike and threatened him at knife point. They took away a gold chain, cell phone and wallet.
House looted
Thieves struck at a doctor’s house in DJ Halli and decamped with valuables worth lakhs of rupees. The police said, Dr Vijay Krishna Kumar was out of town from May 13 and on returning, he found that thieves had struck at his house and had made away with valuables.
Wall collapse
Two people were injured and four two-wheelers were damaged when a portion of a newly constructed wall of the Yeshwanthpur RTO collapsed on Tuesday morning.
Malamma and another worker who were sweeping the RTO premises were injured in the incident. More than four two-wheelers parked adjoining the compound wall were badly damaged.
Several shop owners residing in and around the RTO complex criticised the authorities as the wall was constructed just three months ago.
