Farming family to ride a wave of publicity

Disclosing this to reporters, Mission Chairman Anand said around two lakh farmers were expected to participate in the event which was aimed at displaying the rich agricultural bio-diversity of the State and exhibit organic inputs and local cattle breeds. The idea is to spread the message that farming is the most-respected profession. Both politicians, including the Chief Minister and religious leaders will join hands in pulling the chariot.

The process is on to select the farming family for the honour, he added. Former President of India A P J Abdul Kalam will take part in the event.
