Folk art festival from May 24

Parishat president G Narayana, in a press meet here on Thursday said the Parishat had been supporting folk artistes and folk art forms for the last 25 years. Seminars and performance of folk art forms form part of the fete to be held at Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bangalore. Folklore experts will be felicitated on the occasion.

More than 450 folk artistes are expected to participate in the event.

Working president T Thimme Gowda said the Parishat has plans to develop Janapada Loka in Ramanagar as an international centre for folk studies. It requires 50 acres of land to execute the plan.
