Rangayana new director takes charge

The writer, with his four- decade long association with theatre and writing, had retired from Central Institute of Indian Languages in Mysore recently. In-charge director, Rangayana, K T Chikkanna handed over the charge to Halemane on Thursday morning.

Addressing the press, Halemane said he would convene the meeting of artistes of repertory
to understand their problems and try his best to address them. “Rangayana has to stage newer plays to build healthier society around us. So, along with other works, we will concentrate on staging new plays,” he said.
