Assistant Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti said that of the unidentified bodies, three bodies have been identified by the family members. However, there was confusion regarding one body as other families too claimed the same body. Hence it was decided to conduct DNA test on all the 22 bodies.

Blood samples of blood relatives of the victims for DNA test have been collected. “Another opportunity will be given for all the relatives to check thoroughly and identify the body. The body will be handed over to the relatives only if identification is perfect and authentic,” he said.

Doctors said, “Of 22 unidentified bodies, three can be easily identified by the family members with clues from the body. A body of a woman in saree has a Seconda watch and three finger rings. Another male body has a thread over his right wrist and a thread around the neck with a pendant carrying Om and Hanuman’s marks. The person was wearing yellow shirt with white stripe. The third male body was wearing blue stripe shirt, jeans.”
