Political representation sought for Balijas

Speaking at a religious programme organised by Balija Sangha at the newly-constructed Yogi Nareyana Yatindra here on Monday, he called upon members of the Balija community to come together and strive to seek political representation.

He disclosed that it was being planned to open a free hostel for the poor students of Balija community in the name of his son, M S Ramaiah. “The community people should realise that the goal could be reached only through education. The fellowmen of the community to come to the aid of the poor in getting access to education,” he said.

Hailing the architecture of the newly-constructed temple, Taluk Balija Sangha president Dr Manjunath sought more cooperation to further develop the unique temple. Vice-president of the Association K V Naveen Kiran recalled the contribution of former legislator, late C V Venkatarayappa in construction of the temple.ZP former president Chikkanarasimhaiah, KWSDB former chairman Tyagaraju, senior advocate at the High Court Ashwathanarayana were present.
