“My study and playfulness went hand in hand. Today, I wonder how I balanced everything so well. I was shy and preferred to stay away from the crowd but participated in many college events. I was part of college cricket team; I was a guitarist in the music band and I also used to paint,” he recalls.

Sudeep had a large friend circle, with whom he would hang out on M G Road and Brigade Road. As he did not consider studies a burden, there was no subject he hated. “I was not a bookworm but successfully completed my graduation without any hurdle. Though I was not clear about my career choice, I never neglected academics. But I would do anything to play cricket. I even got selected in University Cricket team and toured many places,” he says.

Sudeep recalls many funny moments from those days. With the support of his classmates, he would escape from being caught by the professors. “We were supposed to write a surprise test one day. Somehow we got to know about it but we were not prepared. So, we carried some grease from the mechanical department lab and smeared it on the black board. As soon as the professor leaned against the board, the grease stuck onto his shirt.

The entire class burst into a laughter. The moment he came to know about our mischief, he suspended the whole class and I need not say that the test did not happen,” he gushes.  Being an all-round student, Sudeep was naturally a heartthrob of many girls. He also admits that he had his share of college day crushes. “It happens to everyone and I also had a lot of brief duration crushes. Probably because of my shy nature or my family background, I never crossed my limit when it came to girls,” he clarifies.
