Nail-biting finale

Award-winning drama Lost returns for its final season of action-packed adventure — that will continue to bring out the best and the worst in the people who are lost. Catch the series every Sunday at 9 pm on Star World.

The series began with Oceanic Air flight 815 crashing on a Pacific island, leaving 48 passengers stranded on an island in the South Pacific. The survivors include a diverse group of people from different walks of life.  As the castaways attempt to get home, flashbacks (and forwards) illuminate their troubled lives before and after the crash, when the island they find themselves stranded on begins to slowly reveal its mysterious nature.

Seeking justice

Sony Entertainment Television presents a new show Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah, an emotional story exploring the father-daughter relationship. Set in the backdrop of the coal mining haven of Brahmpur, the show is about Anmol — an 18-year-old girl, whose life revolves around her father Durgaprasad Kalka and her uncle Kaliprasad Kalka, the local MLA. Anmol loses her mother at a young age in a mine accident.  The death of his wife leaves a deep impact on Durgaprasad who sets out to seek justice. He runs from pillar to post to make his voice heard but all his efforts go in vain. Unfortunately, the entire town turns against Durgaprasad and ridicules him.

Shortly, the community labels Durgaprasad as insane and Anmol sets out to safeguard her father’s prestige. The programme will premiere on June 1 at 8 pm.

Full of sadness

The performances in Zara Nachke Dikha are getting tougher and intense as weeks go by. This week’s episode starts with another power-packed performance by Mukti.

Her performance is an authentic Bharatnatyam style dance to Jiya Jale. Mukti portrays the sadness of a woman who is struggling to deal with the death of her husband.
She depicts wiping away her sindoor and taking of her bangles.

These intimate acts get her so emotional that towards the end of her act, she breaks down inconsolably.

Her entire team including captain Sangita rush to her side to console her. It takes her a few minutes to calm down.

Tune into Zara Nachke Dikha every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm on Star Plus.
