15 kids out of hospital

The children were shifted to the hospital on Thursday morning from CSI Hospital as they had taken ill after consuming contaminated water in the orphanage.  The rest of the children, who are under observation, will be discharged by Saturday, said one of the attendants from the orphanage.

“The duty doctors have advised the children to be on soft food. We are giving them idli with sugar, bread and biscuits. The children who were discharged have been given medicines and will have to eat bland food for some days,” said A Sara from the orphanage.
Currently, there are only five attendants with the children. None of the girls are on IV fluids.

The orphanage is getting the water from outside.  
Officers of Health Department and Bangalore Mahanagara Palike had visited the orphanage located in Bharati Nagar.

The Health Department had taken precautionary measures to avert break of epidemic diseases.  As much as Rs 50,000 each had been released to all districts to distribute halogen tablets.
