Misunderstood superhero

HBO presents Hancock starring Will Smith, Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman and Eddie Marsan. Well-intentioned but hard-living, edgy, sarcastic and misunderstood, Hancock is not your everyday superhero. His heroics, while they might get the job done and save lives, always seem to leave jaw-dropping damage in their wake.

Having fallen out of favour with the public, things don’t look good for Hancock —  until he saves the life of a PR executive. Hancock airs on May 31 at 9 pm.

Private lives of predators

Little is known about the leopards of the Kalahari Desert. Among the most elusive animals on the planet, Kalahari leopards are rarely seen and almost never caught on film. This Mutual Of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom special offers an unprecedented glimpse into the private lives of these unique predators.

The programme follows a year in the life of Montrosse, a female leopard, as she searches for a mate, strives to capture the prey and struggles to rear her cubs in one of the world’s most inhospitable environments. Uniquely adapted to the sandy, nearly treeless Kalahari Desert, Montrosse endures trials and tribulations that her savannah cousins could never even imagine. Mutual Of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom airs on May 31 at 10 pm on Animal Planet.
