Favourite Icebreaker, ridden by YS Srinath, made the first move along the rails, quickly catching up with Cotswold Arms and looking in control with about 400 metres to go. However Sprint Star, expertly urged on by Suraj, made an impressive break through the middle and eased past the two frontrunners to take the race by a comfortable two-and-a-quarter lengths.
Icebreaker finished second with Onassis (B Prakash up) and Sans Pareil, ridden by Ryan Marshall, coming in third and fourth respectively.
