<p>The MoU was signed by Bronwyn Pike, State Minister of Australia’s Victoria State for Education, Skills and Workforce Participation, and Visveshwara Hegde Kageri, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, at Vidhana Soudha.<br /><br />The two states have made a three-year agreement for which an action plan would be developed in the next 90 days. The MoU mainly focuses on strengthening ties between the two states in the field of education and granting scholarships for students to pursue advanced courses in vocation education.<br /><br />Speaking on the occasion, Pike said: “We will work together to strengthen the capacity of vocational education in Karnataka and training workforce.” She added that the two states will also work on improving advanced training skills in areas such as sustainable construction and identifying more opportunities.<br /><br />In his address, Kageri said about 35,000 students pursue job-oriented courses in 29 trades every year.
