It was stated in the complaint that Asmabi had presented two cheques worth Rs 13.9 lakh to Sri Rama Transport Company Limited to buy a truck. However, the cheque was dishonoured as the account did not have sufficient fund in it. Following this, the company filed a complaint against the Asmabi. However, the complainants had failed to submit required statistics and after hearing the case Judge N B Jayalakshmi acquitted Asmabi.
