JOIN USAn exhibition in connection with farming, sericulture, horticulture, fisheries, water shed development, forest was held which was appreciated by the participants. Best exhibitor and owner of healthy cattle were awarded during the valedictory programme.
Puttappa, a farmer from Shirangala Kote was given a special award for rearing Hallikar variety of cattle.
Zilla Panchayat Member H B Jayamma distributing the awards, said that the programmes like Krishi Mahothsav help the farmers to gain more knowledge on new methods of farming, hence farmers must take part in large numbers in such programme and become more enriched in techniques of farming.
Taluk Panchayat Extension Officer Shivaram, Agriculture Officer H S Rajashekar, Mukund, S V Shivananda were present.
