Family releases Viveka's pics, chat messages with Gautam

The family alleged that Gautam had lied and misguided the police as well as media about the nature of his relationship with Viveka and spread the "depression theory". In a second statement issued by the family since Viveka's death, its representative Dale Bhagwagar released seven photographs which show the two together, besides Gmail chats and Facebook messages (social networking site) exchanged between them between May and June.

"The printout copies of Viveka's Gmail and Facebook accounts and the photographic evidence, which signify their relationship as a couple in love, have been handed over to the police," Bhagwagar said. Displaying the copies of the messages shared between the duo in front of the media, he claimed, "Gautam on different occasions referring to Viveka wrote 'my love', 'I miss u', 'I love u', 'love u,' and 'can't wait to be in my Viveka's arms."

"This strongly suggests that they were in love," he said. With the help of Viveka's technical advisor and administrators, her family has accessed her Gmail as well as Facebook accounts, which point towards the fact that the couple were not just friends but into a relationship.

The statement issued by the family reads, "therefore, the Babajee family requests Gautam Vora to immediately approach the police and come out with all the truth about Viveka. Without further delay, they also want Gautam to confess to the police about what exactly happened in the last meeting on the night before the incident, because from his behaviour, it seems that there is much more than what meets the eye."

Viveka (37), a fashion model, had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her fifth floor residence in Continental Towers at suburban Bandra on June 25. Bhagwagar said the family was waiting for the police investigation to be over before it decides on its next course of action against Gautam. "If the police probe says there is a suspicion on Gautam in the case, then the family will do what police ask us to do. If not, then the family will fly to Mauritius with no complaints."

Bhagwagar claimed that five of the seven photographs were clicked in Goa. Referring to Viveka's Facebook messages to her friend Rachel Smith that 'have a shoot scheduled for five day starting from tomorrow morning' (on June 11) and 'I will be flying to Mauritius, early next month for project,' (on June 11), Bhagwagar said she was not depressed as claimed by Gautam.

"With these messages, it suggests that Viveka was not in depression and busy with her schedule. Moreover, she was not financially weak," he said. Two days after the suicide, Gautam had approached sessions court for anticipatory bail fearing he would be arrested on the charge of abetting Viveka's suicide. The court had directed the police not to arrest Vora without giving him 72-hour notice.
