Well a youth in Uttar Pradesh’s temple town of Varanasi chose an altogether different way of tendering an apology to his beloved, which seems to be taken straight from a Bollywood love story. Apparently madly in love, the youth got hundreds of posters and banners printed and pasted all over the city of Varanasi.

The posters displaying “BEBBO SORRY” (no this Bebbo is certainly not Kareena Kapoor) in capital letters could be seen at all important crossings and markets in the temple city.
The posters and banners also carry the picture of a flower, perhaps to soothe the beloved’s ruffled feathers.

According to the residents, the posters appeared on the walls of the houses in the city overnight. “No one has any idea when they were pasted nor do we know who pasted them,” quipped Anil Singh, a resident of Lanka area in the city.

Varanasi superintendent of police Vijai Bhushan also acknowledged the appearance of such posters. “We have reports that such posters have been pasted on the walls of the houses in the city,” he said. Bhushan, however, made it clear that there was very little the police could do in this regard. “Unless there is some complaint by someone, we cannot proceed,” he said.

The police could also act if the posters had “objectionable words” or pictures but they had nothing of this sort, he added.

No one will ever know whether the youth succeeded in his attempt to douse the anger of his beloved. May be he could come up with another poster thanking his beloved if he succeeds.
