JOIN USThe petitioner, Zareen Taj, resident of Shammanagar on Mysore Road had filed a habeas corpus petition seeking to produce her missing son Kaleemullah, whom, she alleged, was abducted by her relatives including Zameer Pasha. She also alleged that the police had refused to lodge a complaint of abduction and registered it as a missing person case.
Alleging that the police has also been harassing her family members at the behest of Pasha, she had sought to implead him in the case. The division bench headed by Justice K L Manjunath had permitted to implead him.
Zameer Pasha who appeared in Court submitted that he was not involved in the abduction and was not aware of who had abducted Kalimullah. The government advocate has sought time to locate Kalimullah and produce him in Court.
