IISC chief for promoting quality of dialogues

He was speaking on the subject,“The Indian Institute of Science: Learning from  History,” in connection with the fourth science forum lecture series on Saturday.  The Indian Institute of Science Alumni Association Knowledge Exchange Programmes (IISCAA KEP) was launched by Prof P Balaram on January 23, 2010, which is growing rapidly and gaining a lot of momentum.

Innovative initiative

The IISc KEP is an innovative initiative to make knowledge and expertise of eminent IISc alumni occupying high positions around the world known to the youngsters, academicians, scientists and entrepreneurs to pursue their career goals, which is empowered by knowledge, he said.

Elaborating on his future plans, he said he wants to build a new campus in Chitradurga, and include Nano-engineering and Biological Science as a new subject.

The inaugural lecture was delivered by Dr K Radhakrishnan, secretary, Department of Space and Chairman of ISRO. The second lecture was delivered by Professor J Srinivasan, professor, Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic sciences, IISc and the third was delivered by Professor N S Ramaswamy.
