Meritorious students of Navodaya school feted

Speaking after inaugurating felicitation programme for meritorious students organised by the PTA of Jawahar Navodaya School at Galibeedu on Sunday, he said that there is a need to inculcate the feeling of nationality among students instead of regionalism and discrimination on the ground of language.

Bopaiah lauded the students who have scored highest marks in CBSE examination and also praised the teachers for their effort in it.

Calling upon students to take up IAS/IPS and other competitive examinations, he told them to take a scientist of the stature of Dr Abdul Kalam to be their role model.

Reacting to the demands of the school, Bopaiah said that he will make all efforts to provide drinking water facilities along with the construction of toilets under Total Cleanliness Drive.

Zilla Panchayat Member H S Ashok, TP member Napanda Kalappa, K Nidugane Gram Panchayat Member Deen Bopanna, PTA member Arathi Sathya, D Sharin Nanjappa, Deena Poovaiah, Suma Ashok and others spoke. School Principal P M Isak welcomed the gathering.
Devika Channakeshava, K P Poovanna, Vinitha Aithal, Madan Mandanna, Shika Nanjappa, K M Deshika, H T Vindya were felicitated for scoring highest marks. Later, the students staged a cultural programme.
