Govt has to take a decision in this regard: DC Ayyappa

Asha Parveen was transferred on July 15 but the very next day she got a stay from the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal. In the meantime the government transferred Shiva Kumar to K R Puram as Tahsildar.

For the last three days, both of them are occupying the same post and are claiming to be the Tahsildar of K R Puram.

Repeated efforts to contact the Revenue Department Principal Secretary V Madhu have failed. When contacted in this regard, the Bangalore Urban Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ayyappa has stated that the government has to take the decision on who is the Tahsildar of KR Puram.

With regard to the 12 acres of land for the freedom fighters he said, he will serve a showcause notice to Asha Parveen. According to Ayyappa, the DC’s office is looking into legal options over the entire fiasco and is likely to arrive at a decision in a day or two.

“We will discuss various legal options at our disposal before arriving at any decision.”
