Lecture series

The Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan and CoLab Art and Architecture, supported by the Venkatappa Art Gallery, are organising a series of lectures on contemporary art. Practices in Contemporary Art and Architecture will kick off with a lecture titled All that is rarefied, abstract and abstruse by Roger M Buergel. It will be held on July 23, 6.30 pm at Venkatappa Art Gallery.

Kotah Couture

Film screening 

Bangalore Film Society, in association with FFSI, Southern Region and the Embassy of Mexico is presenting Guilty Pleasures — Bunuel in Mexico — the rarest films of Luis Bunuel at Ashirvad, 30, St Mark’s Road Cross, opposite State Bank of India. On July 22, 6.30 pm, watch Illusion Travels by Streetcar. The Great Madcap will be screened on July 23, 6.30 pm while on July 24, 6.30 pm Mexican Bus Ride will be shown. Poetry reading

The Bangalore International Centre, in collaboration with Women Unlimited and Women’s World India, has organised a book launch and poetry reading of Interior Decoration on July 23, 6.30 pm at the Auditorium, Bangalore International Centre, TERI Complex, 4th Main, 2nd Cross, Domlur II Stage. Chandrashekhara Kambara, prominent Kannada litterateur will release the anthology. For details, call 25359680.
