Second phase of STEP inaugurated

 The highlight of the event was project presentation by the students of participating colleges.

Addressing the students Venkatesh Thuppil, Director of  NRCLPI stressed on the need for student initiatives to protect the environment. He also described the road ahead for the project, which started couple of years ago.

Karnataka State Pollution Control Board Chairman A S Sadashivaiah spoke on various reasons for pollution. “Population explosion is one of the primary reasons for the crisis. Educated students can bring about a change in the present scenario,” he noted.
Students from Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women,  Jyoti Nivas College, Vivekananda Degree College, NMKRV College for Women, Reva Institute of Science and Management and Christ University presented their projects.
