'It's challenging to be a showstopper'

“It is a challenge to be a showstopper as you are not just a model walking down the ramp. Even if you are a celebrity, you have to do justice to the clothes you are wearing and the designer you are walking for,” said Lara.

 Lara walked the ramp for designer Rina Dhaka in a black lehenga with a crystal-embellished blouse in Delhi recently. The actress said it was quite a different experience to walk the ramp as opposed to acting in Bollywood.

“When you are used to doing the jhatkas and matkas, it becomes difficult to have a calm and composed walk down the ramp. But it feels great to be here today as it brought back memories of the times when I had started as a model and had worked with Rina back then in 1998,” said Lara.
