A part of his US schedule had to be cancelled after a major accident at the location, where some people were injured and also many of his instruments were destroyed. Rahman had declared that he would go ahead with the European leg of the tour on the preset dates this month. However, now that plan too has been hit.
“The shows that were due to take place in Zurich, Mannheim and Paris had to be postponed due to circumstances beyond our control,” revealed the composer. The tour will now resume in Birmingham and then on go as scheduled.
In the meantime, Rahman has also gone ahead and declared that he will resume the North America leg of the tour in September with shows in all the cities, that were a part of the initial plan. Let’s hope at least the rest of his tour goes smoothly without any problems so that his overseas fans don’t have to face dejection.
