Hence, public will be put to hardship. <br /><br />Reacting to it, the Deputy Commissioner (Transport), said “the public should have opposed the move of the government in the beginning itself. Now the building is almost complete. If the government directs us to shift the RTO office to the newly constructed building, we have to shift the office.” </p>.<p>“We do not have any objection, if the public try to mount pressure on the government to retain the RTO office in city limits. Few vehicle owners will be affected. The employees will also be put to hardship,” he said.<br /><br />He said “all of us should compulsorily follow Motor Vehicles Act. Stringent action will be taken against those who violate the rules. He assured that anomalies will be set right and Transport Adalat will be held once in three months. If there was any grievance, then it can be addressed in the next Adalat, he assured. <br /><br />Violation of rules<br /><br />Ramesh Joyappa said “several buses are plying without permits on highway. Action should be initiated against such buses.” Deputy Transport Commissioner said “all vehicles must possess permits. Plying of vehicles without permits is mere violation of rules. Cases have been booked against 30 buses last month.” <br /><br />Sarvajanika Hitharakshana Samithi President Kattimandaiah said “KSRTC buses and private buses leave on same timings. Hence, private bus owners are put to hardship. A gap of 15 to 20 minutes should be maintained in the timings of KSRTC and private buses.” <br /><br />In the backdrop of hike in the price of petroleum products, Autorickshaw Drivers Association President Medappa submitted a memorandum seeking hike in the autorickshaw fair. Cauvery Auto Drivers Association President Dharmendra said “a large number of tourists visit the district. Information boards should be installed everywhere in the district to provide information on the tourist spots to the tourists.” <br /><br />DySP J D Prakash said “the decision to install the board will be taken after holding discussion with the CMC, transport and police.” A public from Thomara village in Virajpet taluk said the village do not have any bus facility between 8.30 am and 2.30 pm. Narayanaswamy directed the RTO to look into the matter. RTO Mohammed Abeebulla also spoke. <br /></p>
