Pressure on prices is still on, says TCS

According to Mahalingam major of companies are still quite cautious of their spends.
As a consequence of this, he said, the company (TCS) has been now focusing on reining in its costs related to areas such as staff salaries and sales and marketing expenses to cushion itself as also offset the impact of pricing pressure on margins.

Pointing out there was still pricing pressures on the industry, he said, “pricing requests have definitely keep coming even now,” adding, “these are for anything from 5-15 per cent.” He further observed that overseas clients are still demanding fee cuts given the tough environment.
