'Create awareness on govt schemes'

Delivering the valedictory address at the two-day State Executive Committee meet of BJP Minority Morcha, he said committees at local-level should create an awareness among the community members on various schemes of the government. The beneficiary programmes for minorities should reach them.

He said that the BJP is slowly coming out of the tag of being communal party and large numbers of people belonging to minority are being attracted towards BJP for its committed ‘Panchasutra’ policy. The minority sections have realised true colours of the Congress and other secular parties.

Secular parties were using minority and backward class for vote bank gimmicks. The minority are deprived of education, employment and equal opportunities in the past, he added.

“Unless people exhibit the sense of brotherhood in the society, the gap between religion to religion, sect to sect will widen. The feelings of brotherhood should not be a drama during elections. The poor children particularly, the girl children from minority section, Dalits and backward class should get proper education for the progress of the society,” he added.

Earlier, replying to a query on the comment made by the JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda that all aged cattle should be sent to ‘Keshava Kripa’ Guest House, Eshwarappa said Gowda should remember that he is also ageing and can he be treated as ‘useless’. The remarks made by Gowda was against our culture and insult to the feelings of Hindus.

Padayatra would be the only alternative for the Congress leaders in the future. The opposition party tag would be permanent for Congress leaders, he ridiculed.

Eshwarappa said that the Sadhana Samavesha was not new to party and nor it was being conducted fearing against Padayatra by the Congressmen. “BJP has organised similar meets during various other occasions. BJP government has made remarkable achievements in the last two years which could not be done by Congress government for the last 60 years of its rule,” he added.

BJP Minority Morcha President Dr N F Mosin Nizamuddhin said the duel stand taken by Congress led UPA government has made several innocent Muslim youths deprived of employment facilities.

“They have been deviated from the mainstream and attracted towards terrorism. There is a need for equal opportunity with equal treatment in the society which has been assured by State BJP government,” he added.
