The division, called Tata BlueScope Building Solutions, won the award for successful implementation of the East-West gas pipeline project of Reliance Gas Transportation Infrastructure Ltd. [RGTIL]. This challenging project involved design and erection of 122 'Butler' buildings across four states and was completed in a record time of approximately 280 days.
Mr H.G. Chandrashekhar, Vice President, Tata BlueScope Building Solutions, received the award from Mr Rakesh Mehta, Chief Secretary, NCR, Delhi, and Professor K T Ravindran, Head - Urban Design, School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, at a formal function in the capital.
The award was conferred on Tata BlueScope Building Solutions for successful execution of Reliance Gas Tranportation Infrastructure's East-West gas pipeline project, which involved the supply of 16 types of 'Butler' buildings spread across locations covering Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The project starts from the Krishna-Godavari basin of Andhra Pradesh and ends at Bharuch in Gujarat.
Accepting the award, Mr Chandrashekhar said, "Tata BlueScope Building Solutions, in a short span of three years, has delivered approximately 400 pre-engineered buildings in India. The East-West gas pipeline project, however, has a special significance for us because of its sheer magnitude and diversity.
