Rahul visits music school at night

After spending  sometime in the market place, Rahul came to the Circuit House around 7.30 pm.

After half-an-hour, he came out of the Circuit House, boarded his car and started moving towards Dharwad. This change in plan stunned the police and even before they could act, one of the vehicles in Rahul’s convoy had killed a stray dog, leading to commotion at Unkal for sometime.

After dinner at a star hotel at Unkal, he visited the Navodaya Residential School at Kyarikoppa and inspected facilities in the school.

Later, he spent two hours listening to music programme at the classical music school, run by a group of foreign social workers.  

Sources close to Rahul told Deccan Herald that visiting this music school, which adopts poor children and teaches them classical music, was his long cherished dream.

As it was past midnight when the music programme concluded, Rahul dropped the proposed visit to Dalit’s house at Kalkeri and returned to Hubli Circuit House.


At National College today

Fareed Ahmed, 1st year B Com student of National College in Bangalore, also an aspiring politician, is still clueless on the outcome of the recently concluded padayatra led by the Congress.

He is anxiously waiting to clarify his doubts related to illegal mining from none other than Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, who will visit National College to strengthen the party’s student wing - National Students Union of India.

Not only Fareed, many more like him are preparing for an interaction with Rahul during his visit the college on Saturday. While students are advised not to limit their interaction only to politics, teachers also have jotted queries to shoot at the Congress leader.

“The proposed Foreign University Bill will have ripple effect in the education sector. Many students and teachers are not aware about the adverse effects of the bill. I would like to know his views on the bill,” said H K Moulesh, HoD of Sociology Department.
