Ranjit Nankani, 30, mowed down and killed Gary Johnson after a row in a nightclub on August 30 last year when he was accused of stepping on someone's foot.

Nankani was captured on CCTV as he ploughed into Johnson, 25, with his Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4 outside the club in south London.

Johnson was hurled against a wall and killed instantly by the impact of the vehicle hitting him.

Following this Johnson's friend pulled out a gun and fired shots at Nankani, who was hit in the shoulder.

Nankani was yesterday convicted of the murder of Johnson, while the victim's friend McPherson was found guilty of the attempted murder of Nankani. He will be sentenced on Monday.

The brawl started after Nankani accidentally stepped on Johnson's foot. Though Nankani apologised, the row escalated between his and Johnson's group following which they were evicted out of the club.
