"Maharashtra-Karnataka border issue is sub judice now but Prime Minister Manmohan Singh can take lead and call the meeting of the Chief Ministers. I appeal Manmohan Singh for that," Gadkari said at a public meeting here.
He assured Singh full support if he were to call such a meeting to settle the row.
Local party leaders handed a fund of Rs one crore to Gadkari on the occasion.
Former BJP president Venkaiah Naidu, Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly Eknath Khadse were also present.
