Choosy :Reese WitherspoonReese rejects scripts

Actress Reese Witherspoon wants to set a good example for her nine-year-old daughter,
and therefore turns down every script that asks her to strip. The Legally Blonde star has no interest in baring all on screen and instead seeks out performance-oriented roles because she wants her young daughter Ava (from ex-husband Ryan Phillippe) to see her mother play strong women.

“I had my first baby when I was 23, so for me, no. I’ve always been choosing roles knowing that I have a daughter, and I have a responsibility towards her and the world to be representing women of strength. These are the women I know in life,” said Witherspoon.

“I think it’s a natural extension of parenthood for you to feel like you are responsible for the worlds you create, whether they be silly or serious. I think you are responsible for the
art you put in the world,” the actress, who is currently dating actor Jake Gyllenhaal said.

Shah Rukh Khan Three Khans coming together?

Film maker Sanjay Chhel is keen to cast the three Khans to play themselves in his forthcoming film, which is a satirical take on relationships that the people in
Bollywood share with each other. The writer and director is making this film on the lives of people associated with the Hindi film industry and what’s interesting is that the film will be a comic take on the relationships people within the industry share with each other.

Titled Fantastic, the film will have Sanjay’s personal and funny impressions that he has garnered while working in the glamour world. It is also expected to unmask reality through situational comedy with a pinch of satire.

Nose in cheek

Even after all these years, Himesh Reshammiya continues to remain very touchy about criticism as far as his singing is concerned. But he certainly didn’t anticipate any comment on singing, when he was requested to croon a few lines of his numbers from Tere Naam and Aashiq Banaya Aapne at the Dadasaheb Phalke awards.   After he finished, the anchor praised Reshammiya no end and remarked that after hearing him live, he is sure that “Himesh doesn’t sing through his nose.” That was it. Himesh  was so miffed that he couldn’t tolerate it. He gave it back as good, saying, “Yes. It's been just two days that I got my nose operation done.” At least Himesh bhai knows how to be sarcastic in such times.

Musicians come together

After Mumbai went up in flames on 26/11, the rage spilled out against
everything Pakistani — their ghazals were suddenly paused, their shows were cancelled, their CDs in Mumbai stores were trampled on by right wing groups and even Indian singers and musicians wondered aloud if this track that had stretched across
the boundary was, after all, worth it.

Five months hence, harangue has given way to harmony. Indian music directors and Pakistani singers have found a way to work together, courtesy the internet. Artistes are working online to make sure that work does not  stop and productions are not delayed.
