VILD offers non-profit management course

 The course provides career opportunities in Management in non-profit sector including government, non-governmental organisations, co-operatives, corporate foundations and social responsibility cells in the corporate sector, said Dr Balasubramanya, chief executive officer, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement.

Eligibility
A graduate of any university, with a minimum aggregate marks of 45 per cent in Bachelor’s Course is eligible for admission. Last date for admissions is September 15. The entrance exam will be conducted on August 28 between 11 am and 12 noon. The exam will consist of 60 questions from English, General Knowledge and Mathematics.
The fourth semester, includes subjects such as Integrated Water Management, Sustainable technologies, Social marketing and community based health management in addition to Finance and Human Resource Management with a number of Knowledge, skill and attitude oriented inputs.

The students are also expected to undertake research projects during the semesters. On completion of two semesters, the University of Mysore confers post graduate diploma in non-profit management, said Dr Balasubramanya.
The institute also offers students opportunities for action research and ‘Earn while you learn scheme’.  Classes will commence from September 20, he said.
