Bekkalale clashes: Prime accused held

They were arrested from Hosur in Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu.
The accused are identified as Gowrimange Gowda, Shankaregowda and ‘Kallepuri’ Rudresh.
The trio were on the run for the past 10 days after the violence broke out over old rivalry in which a Congress activist Paramesh was seriously injured. However, he succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Bangalore,thus triggering unrest in the village. Acting on information, Maddur police raided Krishna lodge in Hosur in Krishnagiri and took the accused into custody. The police are in search of another accused B M Raghu in connection with the case.
The arrested men were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Four arrested
In a separate case, Koppa police have arrested four people in connection with the attack on the office of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (Cesc) recently.
The arrested are Harish, Thimmesh, Kundegowda and Satish. The accused ad barged into a CESC office and ransacked the premises damaging the furnitures besides assaulting the staff. They were produced before the Court and remanded to judicial custody.
