While ZP Executive Officer is on a tour to Chitradurga, other senior officials do not even receive the calls. ZP President Kemparaju too is not accessible as he is busy with election and did not receive calls too.
ZP Engineering Division Assistant Executive Engineer Thimmegowda said that the revetment work was not taken up in the bridge. This might have caused problem in the bridge. A new estimate for the construction of revetment was prepared. However, the Central government had stopped all works under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme till further notice. Following this, the Taluk Executive Officer had stopped the work, he said and assured that action will be taken to provide a temporary pathway by dumping sandbags.
