Referring to a report that was aired in a section of media on the involvement of a Minister in the issue, Santosh Hegde said, a private complaint has been lodged against the same Minister in connection with the Karwar port.
Lokayukta Santosh Hegde said that despite ban, iron ore is being transported to the ports in neighbouring States in the name of moving the goods to the factories.
CBI help
On seeking help from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in probing Belekeri port issue, as announced by the Chief Minister recently, Hegde said that the Chief Minister’s reply has been positive.
