Nine infiltrators killed, gunfight still on

"So far, nine terrorists have been killed in the gunfight that erupted when a heavily armed group of infiltrating terrorists was challenged in Uri sector of the LOC (Line of Control) by the alert troops of the army on Sunday. The gunfight is still on," the sources said late Monday evening.

Twelve AK-47 rifles, five GPS sets, two satellite phones, eight radio sets, one cell phone and Rs 1 lakh in Indian currency have been recovered from the slain terrorists, they said, adding the identity of the slain terrorists was being established.
