Code of conduct: DC warns action against violators

300 Home Guards, 900 police, 6 KSRP platoon, 10 DAR platoon will be deployed

Addressing a news conference on Monday, the DC said that nine nodal officers and 8 to 10 teams of sector officers will submit reports from booth and hobli level.

Micro observers

Micro observers have been appointed in at least 105 booths. There are 66 sensitive booths. He said that action will be initiated if any group of individuals try to execute any kind of foul plans.

As many as 304 officials have been selected for Kadur bypolls of which 20 per cent will be standby. Further, teachers from Mudigere, Chikmagalur and Tarikere will be deputed on election duty. Counting will take place on September 16 at Kadur Government Pre University College hall.


Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar said that as many as 300 Home Guards, 900 policemen, 6 KSRP and 10 DAR platoons will be deputed to ensure security.

Seven check posts will be put up and adequate number of DySPs, PSI, Circle Inspectors will be deputed based on availability of officials. 

Central Election Observer Navdeep Ranwa and  Tarikere Assistant Commissioner Shashidhar Kurera were present.
