JOIN USGovt college may start BSc course
Presiding over the college’s Development Committee meeting on Sunday, he directed Public Works Department’s Assistant Executive Engineer Mahadevaiah to undertake a project to construct a new block in the college as per NAAC guidelines and finish the works within three months. He also instructed the department to build separate toilets for girl students.
While informing that MLC Y A Narayana Swamy had volunteered to provide an Aquaguard water purification unit for the college, Muniyappa said he pay for new computers through MLA’s Local Area Development funds.
He directed the principal to write a letter to the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of the Department of Higher Education for filling the vacancies for English, Computer Science and Commerce lecturers.
The legislator also informed that Executive Manager of Sri Venkateshwara Engineering College, M Shashidhar, had offered to provide snacks for students who come from different parts of the taluk. He instructed the principal to form a committee, including students, to oversee its effective implementation.
