Two-day job mela from today

H V Venkataramu, joint director(training) told reporters here on Thursday that the mela was organised as part of the state-wide initiative of the department to hold employment mela across all the regions in the State. The Corporation had already carried out an assessment of job aspirants in collaboration with private institute Eduquity Technologies.

About 3,961 candidates who have undergone the assessment from Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Mandya districts and Hunsur taluk in the last week of August.

The first day of the job fair will be open for the candidates who underwent assessment. While, the second day of the mela would be open for all job aspirants from the region.

Those who have SSLC, PUC, ITI, diploma, any degree and BE qualifications can attend the mela.

There are about 60 companies and factories taking part in the job mela. In all, all the recruiters have a need for 6,400 candidates of various qualifications and skills, he said.

The major companies taking part in the mela include, DMS Technologies, Kirloskar electrical company, Wipro lighting, Kaynes Technologies, Rangsons Electronics, Triveni Engineers, Nestle India, Pepsi Co (Bangalore), Toyota techno park, Falcon tyres, Friendly Motors, Big Bazaar, Future Value, HTMT, 24X7 Customer and others. Employment officer S J Hemachandra, Venkateshappa, M B Thimmegowda, Srinivas were present in the press meet.
