FIR filed against CWC member for molestation

Acting on a complaint lodged by NGO Association for Promotion of Social Action (APSA) yesterday, an FIR was filed against the CWC member in this connection, DCP (Central Division) G Ramesh said.

APSA Director A Lakshapati in his complaint has alleged the CWC member molested the girl during counselling."Though we have lodged an FIR, questions are raised as to why the girl was produced before a lone member when it is a five-member committee which conducts the hearing," Ramesh said.

According to the complaint, the official told the girl's escort, also an NGO member, that he would call her later. The escort allowed the girl to go in all alone into the room."We are investigating the case thoroughly so that justice is meted out," the DCP said.
