The cellphones of both Prashant and Uma were switched off when their friends called them on Friday. They rushed to their house and found it locked from inside. They broke open the door to find the couple hanging.
Police said, Prashant Sajjan (31) of Bijapur and Uma Sajjan (27) of Hubli had married about one-and-a-half year ago. Both were working in a private hospital here. Prima facie it appeared there was no foul play and it was a case of suicide pact, police added. Prashant had recently completed his post graduation in cardiology and Uma was doing post graduation in pharmacy.
