Acer launches Ferrari special edition smartphone

Acer collaborated with sports car-maker Ferrari to design the smartphone, which uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset, the company said here. "In order to encash the festive mood in India, the phone will be available at Rs 29,999 till Diwali and later on, the price may be revised," Acer India Chief Marketing Officer S Rajendran said.

The smartphone is powered comes with a 5-megapixel camera, wi-fi and an elite bluetooth headset, which can regulate volume automatically. "The new range of Acer smartphones has been rolled out to meet the increasing consumer demand to access mobile Internet in style, anytime and anywhere. Users look for mobile devices with the easiest way to navigate while having the latest multimedia applications," Rajendran added.

For the first few weeks, the product would be exclusively sold through multi-brand consumer durable and electronic shop Croma. Later on, it will be available at other outlets.
"We are extremely delighted to be the exclusive launch partner with Acer for the most awaited Acer Liquid E Ferrari special edition," Infinity Retail Ltd CEO and MD Ajit Joshi said.

"The product will be well received across a spectrum of users -- professionals, sports enthusiasts and youngsters in all key metro markets like Delhi, Mumbai,  Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Pune, where Croma has a dominant footprint," Joshi added.
