CET for Ayurvedic seats on Sept 27, 28

Speaking with reporters, the minister said the All India Ayurvedic Council accorded approval to these colleges recently. The seat matrix will be announced in two days and special casual round counselling will be held on September 29 to fill 15 medical seats available under CET and Union government quotas.

A meeting of managements of private medical and dental colleges has been convened on September 30 to discuss the proposed revision in fee structure for government quota seats.

“The colleges have sought the revision citing steep increase in administrative cost. They have said they will approach court in the alternative,” the minister said.

The committee constituted to look into revision of fee for seats under Comed-K quota is yet to submit its report. The fee is likely to be hiked from the next academic year.

Acharya said a Cabinet sub-committee has decided to accord permission to Acharya institute to start a medical college.
