He is spunky and humourous but if someone is threatened or a life is in danger, there is no one better than Chance to rescue it. But he is a guardian, not an angel.

Unravelling secrets

Fox History & Entertainment Channel will present Secrets Of The Aztecs: The Terrible Truth on September 26 at 9 pm. A recently discovered Aztec site, on the outskirts of Mexico City, is beginning to disclose shocking secrets that are confounding historians the world over.

As many as 550 skeletons have been found with knife cuts and teeth marks on their bones.

The victims’ flesh had been stripped off and eaten. It appears their still-beating hearts were ripped out of their chests.

In some cases, scratches on tiny bones show unborn babies were even stabbed in their mothers' bellies.

In 2006, Mexican archaeologists identified these skeletons as being fifteenth-century Spanish Conquistadors. Up until now, historians believed that the Aztecs welcomed the white-skinned invaders as their returning Aztec gods.

Now, there is indisputable evidence which proves the Aztecs butchered and savagely ate the Spanish.

The History of Our Planet: Volcano will be aired on September 28 at 10 pm.

Volcanoes have a fearsome reputation. In reality, they are the most important force in the creation of the planet as we know it today. Abseiling into a lava lake and cave-diving in a cenote, this episode shows how the heat that fuels volcanoes also drives some of the most fundamental processes on the planet.
