Brave guardian

WB presents Human Target — Season 1 on September 25 at 8 pm.

‘People have secrets, and secrets can be dangerous. But nobody deserves to die!’ This is the thinking of Christopher Chance, a mysterious security agent for hire who assumes different identities and at times, literally becoming a human target on behalf of his
clients.

Using the popular DC Comics title as a springboard for rivetting, intelligent action and adventure, Human Target provides a thrill ride with no clear boundaries.

Resourceful, driven and compelled by a force known only to him, this take-charge antihero will barter his services for an aged bottle of scotch, much to the chagrin of his associates.

He is spunky and humourous but if someone is threatened or a life is in danger, there is no one better than Chance to rescue it. But he is a guardian, not an angel.

A journey full of battles

The Lord Of The Rings — The Return Of The King airs on September 25 at 9 pm on HBO.

The movie stars Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, Ian McKellen. The final battle for Middle-Earth begins as Frodo and Sam, led by Gollum, continue their
dangerous mission toward the fires of Mount Doom in order to destroy the One Ring.

Aragorn struggles to fulfil his legacy as he leads his outnumbered followers against the growing power of the Dark Lord Sauron, so that the Ring-bearer Frodo may complete his quest.

Blunt fashion advice

Watch Trinny and Susannah Undress on September 26 at 8 pm on TLC. No-nonsense style queens Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine are as famed for their outrageous stunts as they are for their blunt fashion advice. Trinny and Susannah apply their style expertise to three “tribes” whose appearances reflect a collective identity-country ladies, sex bombs and dog-lovers. But before they make any changes, the style gurus are restyled by each group first!

Body of life

Pacific Ocean airs on Animal Planet on September 26 at 10 pm. Pacific Ocean is the world’s largest body of water. It lies between North and South America on the East, Asia and Australia on the West, and Antarctica on the South. The Pacific, including adjoining seas, has an area of about 64,186,300 square miles. It makes up almost 33 per cent of the earth’s total surface and 46 per cent of its water surface. It is also larger than all the land areas combined. The ocean is commonly divided at the Equator into the North and South Pacific.

Unravelling secrets

Fox History & Entertainment Channel will present Secrets Of The Aztecs: The Terrible Truth on September 26 at 9 pm. A recently discovered Aztec site, on the outskirts of Mexico City, is beginning to disclose shocking secrets that are confounding historians the world over.

As many as 550 skeletons have been found with knife cuts and teeth marks on their bones.

The victims’ flesh had been stripped off and eaten. It appears their still-beating hearts were ripped out of their chests.

In some cases, scratches on tiny bones show unborn babies were even stabbed in their mothers' bellies.

In 2006, Mexican archaeologists identified these skeletons as being fifteenth-century Spanish Conquistadors. Up until now, historians believed that the Aztecs welcomed the white-skinned invaders as their returning Aztec gods.

Now, there is indisputable evidence which proves the Aztecs butchered and savagely ate the Spanish.

The History of Our Planet: Volcano will be aired on September 28 at 10 pm.

Volcanoes have a fearsome reputation. In reality, they are the most important force in the creation of the planet as we know it today. Abseiling into a lava lake and cave-diving in a cenote, this episode shows how the heat that fuels volcanoes also drives some of the most fundamental processes on the planet.
