Rolls-Royce opens biggest global centre in Bengaluru

Aerospace company Rolls-Royce has opened its largest Global Capability and Innovation Centre in Bengaluru. The new facility will bring together digital experts, service teams, and engineers who support Rolls-Royce’s work in civil aviation, defence, and power systems across the world.

90 years in India
Rolls-Royce has been connected with India for nearly nine decades, working with the military, universities, and industry partners.

The centre was inaugurated by Karnataka Industries Minister M B Patil, in the presence of Lindy Cameron, the British High Commissioner to India. Officials said the hub will make Bengaluru a key part of Rolls-Royce’s international operations.

Rolls-Royce has had a close connection with India for 90 years. Today, more than 1,000 of its engines power aircraft used by the Indian Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Army. Across India, about 3,000 people work with Rolls-Royce, including nearly 2,000 engineers who contribute to global projects.

Helen McCabe, Chief Financial Officer of Rolls-Royce said that Bengaluru will be the largest hub and will help build local talent and deepen partnerships.

Minister Patil praised the investment, calling it proof of Karnataka’s place as a top destination for aerospace and defence companies.
