SDM English Medium School (CBSE), Ujire, marked the start of the academic year 2025–26 with vibrant celebrations on June 2. Students returned after the summer break to a beautifully decorated campus, filled with green archways and colourful paper artwork created by teachers. The new academic year was formally inaugurated by S N Kakatkar, Academic Coordinator of SDM Educational Institutions, and Mr Dhanyakumar, Student Welfare Officer, who lit the ceremonial lamp and released the School Diary 2025–26. A special welcome was arranged for class 1 students, who were greeted with traditional aarti and a good wishes letter. Classrooms came alive with engaging activities, setting a cheerful tone for the year ahead.
