K E Board Central School, Malamaddy, celebrated World Environment Day by planting saplings in honour of mothers under the Mission Life initiative. Principal Ashwanikumar urged students to nurture trees with the same care and devotion one gives to a mother. Co-teacher Sonali Borakar explained how trees, like mothers, give selflessly — providing shade, clean air, and comfort. Students also performed cultural programmes to mark the day.
