Varin International Residential School, Tumakuru, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervour. Chairman Krishnaiah hoisted the national flag, while distinguished parents from the armed forces and Kannada actor Jayant were honoured. NCC cadets and students presented a march-past, followed by cultural programmes of dances, songs, and speeches. Secretary Mamatha Suresh reminded students of the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the importance of responsibility.
